Biography
My work as a yoga teacher and wellness practitioner is shaped by how we heal and grow through embodied practice.
I draw on a rich international background that has influenced both my perspective and teaching approach. I was born in Pakistan and come from a mixed Ethiopian and Irish heritage.
My early childhood was spent between Pakistan and Greece before moving to the UK at primary school age. This early exposure to different cultures and environments has always inspired me. my further education studies in the UK, I specialising in art, textiles, and fashion at university. as a young graduate in my 20s I worked in interior design and then opportunity to work for a successful creative marketing agency based In Bath, which really heloed me understand the commercial aspect of design and business.
Also in my late 20’s travelled extensively across Southeast Asia and Australia between 2003 and 2205, discovered yoga and began to integrate it into my daily life. I experienced a profound connection to the practice, its philosophy, and its transformative potential.
In 2006, I relocating to the South of France where I lived for 10 years while raising my son and developing my yoga career. I also worked in the yachting industry and high-end luxury hospitality, gaining valuable experience in guest experience, high end luxury service industry.
I completed my first yoga teacher training in India in 2007, and since then have continued to evolve my practice through study with leading Western and Indian teachers, developing my own flowing Vinyasa style and establishing my yoga brand firstly in France then In 2016, I returned to the UK and founded Annie’s Soul Flow Yoga, focusing on classes, private yoga, workshops, and retreats.

Alongside my teaching, I specialise in creating wellness and retreat experiences across the UK, France, and Greece. My intention is to offer deeper, soulful retreat experiences rooted in both my personal journey and trainings and experiences I can authentically offer. My approach is structured around combining creativity with a strong understanding of how to design experiences that are transformational to my students and guests.
Yoga Qualifications
Training & Qualifications
2003 – Thai Oil Massage, Chiang Mai, Thailand.
Foundational training in traditional Thai massage techniques focusing on therapeutic touch, energy lines (Sen), assisted stretching, and deep tissue bodywork.
2007 – 200-Hour Yoga Teacher Training Yoga Arts (Yoga Alliance) India.
Intensive foundational teacher training covering traditional and modern yoga disciplines, including
Ashtanga and Vinyasa sequencing, Yin and Iyenger Restorative practices.
Alignment principles, functional anatomy, hands-on adjustments.
Meditation techniques, pranayama (breath-work), and classical yoga philosophy.
The training emphasised intelligent sequencing and the integration of breath, body, and mind to create balanced and accessible classes for a wide range of students.
2009 – 200-Hour Family Yoga, Children’s Yoga, Pregnancy & Postnatal Yoga (Yoga Campus) UK
Pregnancy Yoga: safe hip openings yoga and empowering movements, breathing (pranayama), mudras, and mantras designed to support women during pregnancy.
Postnatal Recovery: Focuses on healing and regaining strength after birth, Rebuilding core strength, restorative practices, and bonding with babies.
Children’s & Family Yoga Creative Teaching: storytelling, imagination, and play to teach yoga principles.. Creating safe, non-competitive spaces focusing on acceptance and self-expression
Yoga Nidra (Nidra Shakti) Total Yoga Nidra designed for deep rest and therapeutic healing. Facilitation Skills: to lead, hold space, and facilitate yoga nidra for individuals and all ranges of groups.
2016 – 50-Hour Stand-Up Paddleboard Yoga Training – Bali, Indonesia (Kite Surf Yoga)
Teaching yoga on water, developing balance, core stability, and adaptability in dynamic outdoor environments. Included safety awareness, sequencing for unstable surfaces, and group facilitation in nature-based settings.2018 – 2019 - 200 Hour Yoga & Traditional Thai Massage Training – (BodyWisdom School) UK
Integrated training combining yoga therapy principles with traditional Thai massage techniques. Focused on hands-on bodywork, assisted stretches, and therapeutic application of yoga for recovery, stress reduction, and physical alignment.2025 – Breathwork Coach Training (ongoing online study)
Advanced study in breath regulation techniques for nervous system support, emotional regulation, and performance optimisation. Includes exploration of functional breathing, conscious connected breathwork, and trauma-informed approaches.
